MY STORY

MY STORY

The Journey

‘‘Twenty-five years ago, on my 50th birthday, I found myself surrounded by family, best friends, and our dog, yet I felt utterly alone. My addiction had distanced me from forming genuine relationships, even with my children. Lies, deceit, and a lack of meaning had taken over my life, leaving me with no one to turn to and a nervous system at its breaking point.’’

This profound personal crisis led me on a journey of self-discovery and transformation. I realized that many are trapped in cycles that prevent them from seeing the broader perspective of life. The Bigger Picture was born out of my desire to share the lessons I’ve learned—how to build a sustainable future, achieve financial independence, a balanced life and live in harmony with nature.

I then realized there was something far more important than all of this. The Human being.

This was my calling. I had to go public and let people know, that in every person there is something special waiting for them. That in any situation they are in, there is a solution.

This is what THE BIGGER PICTURE is all about. YOU.

NATURE AND BUSINESS

The Perfect Balance

Something significant happened to me in the year 2007. I was on a buying trip in search of good samples of clothing to show the buyers in Australia. The trip entailed a flight from Melbourne to Los Angeles, San Francisco, Hong Kong, and Melbourne. I spent 3 days in Los Angeles and by the end, I felt so depleted of energy, I didn’t know if I could go any further. It was a feeling I had never experienced before and was very alarming.

I managed the short trip the next day to San Francisco and knew I had to rest on arrival and take the next day off. I woke up with the thought “Hire a car and go to the reservation where the redwood pine forest is present and well known”. I hired a car and upon arrival, I checked in at the reception area and proceeded to walk to the entrance of the nature park. I walked alongside a sandstone creek that was being caressed by the running water and surrounded by the magnificence of the redwood pine trees.

It took me about 15 minutes to be transformed into a human being with a vitality I had never experienced before. It was so exhilarating. Not only that but I was also being downloaded with information on what my next steps in business were to be. I was the happiest person alive, so it seemed.

It came to me that I had to give up the clothing business, as I was poisoning the earth or find a way of working with chemical-free ingredients. I did the latter. I informed my business partner what I would do, and he supported it. I now have a fire in my belly to light the potential of business and how it can be a powerful instrument of change. When the businessman realizes the joy of creating a business that is one of service, the doors will open to a big turnaround in the financial world.
